Can a person strive for perfection? Can a person lose their salvation because of the things they do? The Apostle John had to deal with a problem where people believed they could do what they want with their bodies as long as their spirit was right with God that is all that matters.

How can you tell a genuine Christian from a person who pretends to be one? Can I know for sure that I am saved? What is my attitude to the word of God? Is it my authority and guide in life? Am I burdened for the needs of others?

Gideon through small steps of faith is ready to be a conqueror as long as he gets on God's plan. There are few lessons he learns from God such as the stripping away of our reliance on self and our resources and abilities before he can use us.

God has made his body to function effectively by giving it many gifts and abilities. Every part is important and necessary if the body is to function as it is supposed to.

God continues to deliver his people from their cycle of sin. He uses women as he chosen vessel to do the task. This would have been an insult to the male dominated society, unthinkable that a woman was chosen to do what a man was expected to do.
